Setting & Context
Warren Township High School is one of the largest in Illinois. It serves students in all or parts of 12 towns covering 50 square miles. With over 4,200 students enrolled, WTHS operates from 2 separate campuses. The O’Plaine campus caters to students in the 9th and 10th grade while the Almond campus focuses on students in the 11th and 12th grade. Warren Township High School is highly diverse which includes students from all over the world. Approximately half of the students who attend the school are minority races/ethnicities.
According to WTHS’s parent/student handbook, the school’s mission is to “maximize the growth and achievement of every student through rigor, support and innovation.” WTHS believes that student growth and achievement are maximized when:

Warren offers over 250 courses to its students as well as athletics, clubs, and other activities. Students are expected to be students first but to find balance to accommodate for these activities that enrich their learning.
